Chapter Three - "A New Age"
Raid Five: Arguing in Multimedia
Chapter Overview
So far, you have done a visual rhetorical analysis, you have walked through the long process of invention, research, and writing for your research guided essay, and now you must do a multimodal transformation. In order to complete this chapter, you are now to turn a researched idea into a game with marketing materials. However, you will not be doing this alone. In a guild of three or four, you will designate someone as the guild leader as well as the other guild classifications. It is your task to put together a kickass presentation and deliver it to four gaming executives, competing for their vote. Good Luck!

Raid Overview
For this chapter, you will be joining up with other players to create a text adventure or interactive media that captivates the masses. Your audience should be broad and wide-reaching. Each player will have a part in the creation of the interactive narrative in agreed upon roles. Each guild (player parties) will appoint a guild leader (bard or ranger) who will be responsible for keeping the guild on task, ensure they meet deadlines, and the overall presentation of the project. There will also be a code specialist (mage) that will be responsible for the technical aspects and operation of the text adventure. The lead writer (warrior) will be responsible for the narrative and writing of the text adventure. Finally, the product specialist (bard or ranger) will be responsible for the marketing materials and video.
The text adventure will have a dynamic storyline with at least four outcomes achieved through player choice. Each story will incorporate researched data, images, and intriguing arguments in creative ways. The guild will be assessed on teamwork, creativity, rhetorical justification, completeness, and presentation.

Raid Requirements
The basic requirements are listed above (at least two outcomes, researched data, and images). Below are the detailed requirements for each guild. First, players must choose their desired roles and what project they would like to work on. Next, as a guild, you must choose roles and the guild leader by filling out the GUILD MANIFESTO. Due to the short amount of time before the due date and the two breaks that are built into the schedule, it is up to the Guild Leader to keep the guild on task.
